Research Background

My research focuses on characterization, prediction, and better response to a wide range of geospatial problems concerning resource managers. In the past, I have evaluated geomorphic change following tsunami, investigated the influence of earthquakes on landslide distributions and coastal cliff retreat, evaluated best practice for fault zone hazard planning, explored post wildfire ecological response, and conducted multi-hazard assesment for large infrastrucutre networks.

In my current role at WSL, I am leveraging spatial modeling to 1) identify drought effects on Swiss forests and 2) predict future risk under a changing climate. I am particularly interested in cross-disciplinary collaboration and I encourage you to reach out if you think our interests may align well.
