Distinct rings, vessels solitary and in shrot radial multipels, simple perforations, vessel diameter 30-50µm, fibers with large and small pits, with septate fibers, alternating bands of thick- and thinner walled fibers, axial parenchyma rare or absent, rays 1-2 cells in width, heterocellular with many rows of upright cells, prismatic crystals in ray cells.
