Distinct rings, ring porous to semi-ring-porous, vessels solitary, vessels thick-walled, simple perforations, round to scalariform intervessel pits, vessel diameter 40-70µm, fibers thick-walled, fiber groups in tangential rows, parenchyma vasicentric and confluent, ray width 2-5 cells, homocellular, prostrate cells, ray cells unlignified, crystals absent.
