Distinct rings, ring- to semi-ring-porous, vessels grouped in tangential, diagonal and dendritic patterns, simple perforations, with helical thickenings, vessel diameter 60-120µm, fibers tick-walled, with tension wood, parenchyma vasicentric and terminal, ray width 3-5 cells , homocellular procumbent, crystals absent.
