Xylem Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, vessels solitary and often in diagonal patterns, simple perforations, vessel diameter 40-50µm, with round intervessel pits, vestured pits, fibers thin- to thick-walled, parenchyma vasicentric, ray 2-6 cells in width, heterocellular with 1-3 upright cells, , prismatic crystals. Xylem-Code Phloem Tangential layers of collapsed sieve cells, ray dilatations, tangentially arranged groups of sclereids, with many prismatic crystals.
