Xylem

Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, vessels solitary, simple perforation, vessel diameter 30-50 µm, fibers with large pits, fibers thin-to thick-walled, parenchyma apotracheal, rays 1 to 3 cells in width, all cells upright, crystals absent.

Phloem

Uniform cortex, distinct ray dilatations, belt of sclereids, with a few crystal druses. Arrangement of periderm cells not very regular.
