Distinct rings, ring-to semi-ring to ring-porous, vessels solitary, and in more or less radial groups, simple perforation, vessel diameter 50-100µm, with thin helical thickenings, fibers with large pits, fibers thin- to thick-walled, parenchyma apotracheal and paratracheal, rays unseriate and 5-10 seriate, heterocellular with many prostrate and a few upright cells with a few crystal druses in rays.
