Xylem

Distinct rings, diffuse to semi-ring-porous, vessels in irregular radial and dendritic groups, vessel diameter 20 – 50mµ, simple perforations, with helical thickenings, fibers with small pits, fibers thin to thick-walled, parenchyma paratracheal, rays 1-3 seriate, heterogeneous with many prostrate and a few rows of upright cells.
