Distinct rings, diffuse-porous, vessels in irregular radial and dendritic groups, vessel diameter 40 – 80mµ, simple perforations, with thin helical thickenings, fibers with small pits, fibers thin to thick-walled, parenchyma not to recognize, rays 2-4 seriate, heterogeneous with many prostrate and a few rows of upright cells.
