Distinct growth zones, ring- and semi-ring porous, 100-150 µm in diameter, vessels in long radial multiples and in groups, simple perforations, fibers thin-to thick-walled with small pits, parenchyma paratracheal, with rays 3-6, heterocellular with central prostrate and many marginal upright cells, with included phloem.
