Indistinct rings, with growth zones, vessels solitary and in short radial multiples, simple perforations, scalariform intervessel pits, intervessel pits opposite, vessel-ray pits large, vessel diameter 80-170 µm, thin-walled fibers, parenchyma scanty paratracheal and apotracheal, ray width 2-3 cells, heterocellular with many square and upright marginal cells, with a few crystal druses in rays.
