Xylem

Distinct rings, ring porous, vessels mainly solitary simple perforations, round intervessel pits, intervessel pits alternate, vessel diameter 50-130 µm, with helical thickenings, parenchyma scanty paratracheal and apotracheal in aggregates, ray width 3-5 cells, heterogeneous with a few prostrate and many marginal square and upright cells.
