Distinct rings, vessels solitary and in small radieal multiples, simple perforations, round intervessel pits, intervessel pits alternate, vessel diameter 50-110 µm, parenchyma in large distinct tangential bands alternating with fiber bands, ray width 3-6 cells, heterocellular with many prostrate and a few square and upright cells, with a many prismatic crystals in rays.

Sclereids in tangentially arranged square groups, with ray dilatations, with many crystal druses in rays, with mucilage ducts.
