Distinct rings, , semi-ring porous, vessels solitary, in groups, vessels small (20-30 microns) vessels thick walled (2 microns), paratracheal parenchyma, parenchyma thin walled between vessels,intra-annual tangential bands of fibers, ray width 4-10 cells and rayless, sometimes, few large rays with crystal druses. Crystal druses in the pith.
