Distinct annual rings, vessels solitary, vessel diameter 50 – 80 mm vessel frequency 40-80 mm2, simple perforations, with helical thickenings, with small pits, apotracheal parenchyma in tangential layers and paratracheal vasicentric, ray width 2-3 cells, rays homocellular with prostrate cells, with prismatic crystals in axial chambers.
