Distinct rings, diffuse-porous, vessels solitary, perforations simple and scalariform with 6-10 bars, intervessel pits scalariform, ray-vessel pits with enlarged horizontal apertures, vessel diameter 15-30 µm, vessel frequency 400 - 700 mm2, fibers with large pits, fibers thin-walled, parenchyma not to recognize, rays uniseriate, homocellular with upright cells and 2-4 seriate homocellular with prostrate and upright cells, sometimes with sheet cells, with a few prismatic crystals in large rays.
