Mostly indistinct rings, vessels with big bordered pits, vessels in groups in tangential bands, relatively big inter vessel pits, no vestured pits, paratracheal parenchyma, rays 3-8 seriate often confluent to ground tissue.

No tangential layers of collapsed sieve cells, radial rows of parenchyma cells, distinct ray dilatations, little groups of sclereids in primary bark.
