Distinct rings, diffuse porous, vessels mostly solitary, vessel diameter 40-110µm, vessel frequency 100-200 mm2, simple perforations, fibers, paratracheal parenchyma, thin walled marginal parenchyma, rayless, ray width 3-6 cells, often with sheet cells, heterocellular rays with 3-10 square and upright ray cells, without crystals.
