Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, vessels solitary and in groups, vessel diameter <20mµ, vessels thick walled (2mµ), simple perforation, reticulate intervessel pitting, fibers in small groups, most fibers with nuclei, pervasive parenchyma, rays indistinct, if visible width 4-10 thin walled, unlignified, cells, crystals absent.
