Xylem

Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, vessels in long radial multiples, vessel diameter 20 ¿ 40µm, vessel frequency 200-400 mm2, simple perforations, fibers thin-to thick walled, paratracheal and marginal parenchyma, rays 1-3 seriate. All ray cells upright. Few prismatic crystals.

Phloem

With small groups of sieve cells, many groups of sclereids in radial rows, crystals absent.
