Distinct rings, ring porous, vessels in groups, simple perforations, intervessel pits mostly scalariform, frequently transitions between opposite and scalariform, fibers thin-to thick walled, with septate fibers, parenchyma paratracheal, ray width 3-6 cells, heterocellular wit 4-many square and upright cells, vessel-ray pits horizontal, gash-like, ray height >1mm
