Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, vessels in radial patterns, simple perforations, fine spiral thickenings, earlywood vessel diameter 40 - 70µm, fibers thin to thick-walled, parenchyma absent or not to recognize, ray width 4-10 cell, all ray cells prostrate, ray height >1mm, prismatic crystals in rays.
