Distinct rings, diffuse to semi-ring porous, vessels in dendritic patterns, simple perforations, fine spiral thickenings, earlywood vessel diameter 30 - 40µm, fibers thick-walled, few fiber tracheids, parenchyma absent or not to recognize, ray width 4-10 cell, all ray cells prostrate, ray height >1mm, prismatic crystals in rays.
