Distinct rings, semi-ring porous, vessels in diagonal patterns, simple perforations, fine spiral thickenings, earlywood vessel diameter 30 - 50µm, fibers mostly thick-walled, with few fiber tracheids, parenchyma absent or not to recognize, ray width 4-10 cell, all ray cells prostrate, ray height >1mm, crystals absent.
