Distinct rings, diffuse porous, vessels solitary, often with slightly angular circumference, scalariform perforations with >10bars, intervessel pits round and scalariform (gash-like), fibers thin to thick-walled, with distinctly bordered, round pits, parenchyma absent or seldom apotracheal, rays uniseriate , heterocellular with 1 square or upright cells or homocellular. With few prismatic crystals.

Phloem

Phloem with sieve cells, few round groups of sclerenchyma cells. Cortex with a continuous band of sclerenchyma. With prismatic crystals.
