Only one ring, vessels solitary vessel diameter 20-30 µm vessel frequency 200-300 mm2, scalariform perforations with 15-25 bars, fibers thin to thick-walled, with round pits, apotracheal parenchyma, rays uniseriate, rays homocellular exclusively with upright cells.

Phloem

Small groups of sieve cells between parenchyma in the phloem, Some isolated single sclereids in the cortex. Crystals absent.
