Distinct ring boundaries, vessels absent, tracheids with big round bordered pits and scalariform bordered pits. Parenchyma very rare and not to recognize in the cross-section. Uniseriate and multiseriate (3 to 6 cells in width) heterocellular rays with 1 to 3 square and upright marginal cells. Crystals absent. Xylem-Code Phloem Phloem simple structured. Sieve cells collapse in older parts of the phloem. Distinct ray dilatations and a belt of sclereids in the cortex.
