Distinct rings in radial vascular bundles, diffuse porous, vessels in groups, vessel diameter 20-30mµ, vessels thick-walled (3mµ), fibers absent, simple perforations, round and scalariform bordered intervascular pits, pervasive parenchyma, vascular bundles rayless, very large rays (extrusions from the pith) between the bundles.
