Distinct rings, indistinct remaining vascular bundles, semi-ring porous, vessels in long radial multiples, earlywood vessel diameter 20-40 µm, simple perforations, locally with fine spiral thickenings, fibers with small pits, marginal groups at the external side of each xylem of the vascular bundle, round intervascular pits, parenchyma hardly to recognize, vascular bundles rayless, very large rays between the bundles. Rays with irregular cells, rays often confluent to the fiber tissue. Very thin walled, unlignified marginal groups of ray parenchyma cells. Keilwuchs.
