After more than three years of hard and fruitful work on fungal viruses, Wajeeha Shamsi has left our group to start a new work experience in Denmark at Aarhus University in the group of Prof. Simona Radutoiu. Wajeeha, thanks a lot for your valuable contribution to our research and all the best for this new experience!

Almost at the same time, Giovanna Lanzavecchia has joined our group to work as postdoc on a project about the effects of urbanization on fungal endophytes of trees (FUN-URB). A warm welcome Giovanna and hopefully you will have a good time with us!

Giovanna already attended the European Forum on Urban Forestry held in Zagreb, Croatia and presented the newly approved SNSF Cost Action Project FUN-URB that she will be working on for the next three years.
