Main research interests: Local adaptation, population genetics, and hybridization of forest trees and alpine plants.

I am scientific staff member and senior researcher in research group Ecological Genetics and involved in various projects dealing with environmental adaptation and hybridization of plants, especially of forest trees. We are interested if and how plants are genetically adapted to local environmental conditions, how species and populations will deal with habitat alterations like climate change, and in the role of hybridization and introgression in these processes.
