White Risk: new features

The whiterisk.ch portal and White Risk app have been upgraded for winter 2018/19. Trips can now be conveniently planned in the app on a mobile phone or tablet. White Risk PRO has also been completely redesigned.

Here are the main innovations for the 2018/19 season at a glance:

White Risk app

TOUR module:

  • Trips can be plotted and edited offline.
  • Topographic maps (all layers) can be downloaded for any map section. They no longer have to be linked to your planned trips.
  • You can share planned trips directly with your friends.
  • Full screen mode for best use of mapping
  • Search function to locate your trips more quickly
  • Trips are available as layers.

 

Important: The maps stored on your device will be deleted when you update the app, but you can download them again with a valid standard licence. Obviously, any existing trips won't be affected.

whiterisk.ch portal

PRO module completely overhauled:

  • Media library with search function for downloading images, graphics and films for presentations (e.g. PowerPoint)
  • Desktop presentation program for interactive media

 

General:

  • Clearer layout in White Risk user account
  • Improvements to licence purchase and renewal
  • New payment options including PayPal, Twint and Postfinance

The White Risk app's TOUR module for Android and iOS has been completely overhauled. Trips can now be planned and edited directly in the app. Also, map management is no longer linked to trips, so you can download as many map areas as you like with a valid licence.

On the whiterisk.ch web platform, the user account has been redesigned and the payment options improved. The PRO module has also been completely redesigned. White Risk PRO allows you to download content from White Risk EXPLORE for your own presentations. You have access to a collection of appealing graphics, photos and videos, which you can use in PowerPoint presentations for example.

PRO also has its own app, Desktop Presenter, which you can install on your computer to produce lessons using interactive animations. Content from this app can be easily linked to PowerPoint. You'll still be able to access the old version of PRO, so you won't lose any of your presentations. However, we will no longer provide support for the old version.

All White Risk features can be tried out free of charge for seven days at whiterisk.ch. Wishing you lots of enjoyment with the new features of White Risk and an accident-free winter season.
